  • HOMESCHOOL

Youth With A Vision Servers is a home school liaison. We will help families first determine if homeschooling is the best option for them. If so, we educate them on Homeschooling procedures, requirements and compliance. If needed, we help families find the curriculum, assist with reporting requirements and refer to other homeschool coops for testing requirements.

COMPUTERS CHANGING LIVES

In the beginning of our program we used technology to reach teens and keep them off the streets during the after school programs. Teens used computers for games, music and homework.

We had two computer labs, one for teens and one for adults. During the time the teens used the computers we were able to form important relationships with them and mentor them.

TEEN ACTIVITIES

TEEN ACTIVITES ARE OF UPMOST IMPORTANCE TO YOUTH WAV

YOUTH JOBS

YOUTH WAV Collaborated with Six Flag Elitch Gardens to work in Food Service and rides department for 5 seasons. We mentored teens in the kitchens, teaching them essential life skills and how to hold down a job. Additionally, we spent 5 years in a partnership with the football stadium. 110 teens were taken to each event and supervised by Youth WAV working in food services.

More Teen Activities

Youth With A Vision collaborated with National Youth Day Events and provided yard cleaning for senior citizens who were unable to spring clean their own yards.

By using old computers, we would provide teens with skills to build and refurbish computers. Once they were done building the computers, they would take them home. This was one of the programs we operated during the first 5 years of our program.
